

Born Jan. 27, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Henry and Julia (Weber) Payton, she married Evan Bryan, Jr. on Sept. 2, 1950 in East Peoria.
Surviving are her husband; 2 daughters, Linda Kling of Olathe, Kan. and Julie (Tom) Treaster, of Pomona, Kan.; 2 sons, Michael (Anne) Bryan of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Thomas (Robin) Bryan of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Sonja (Robert) Wyant of Peoria.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.A homemaker, she was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin where she was active in the Sanctuary Choir and the Ladies Guild, both for over 30 years, the Fellowship Club and served as the church librarian.
Judy was a 1950 graduate of East Peoria High School.
She enjoyed playing golf with her husband and their many friends.
Judy's funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at her church. Rev. Mark A. Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel and from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
