Julie C Woltzen

She was born November 14, 1978 in Peoria to Lawrence B. and Joyce R. (Theobald) Woltzen.

Surviving are her parents of Marquette Heights; one sister, Cynthia M. (John) Harper of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and her grandparents, Sigrid Woltzen of St. Louis, Missouri and Agnes Theobald of Morton.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herschel Woltzen and Milo Theobald.

A 1996 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Julie attended the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s degree in 2000.  She later attended Indiana State University, where she earned her Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy in 2002.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin.

Julie will be remembered for her gentle sweet spirit and her love for her family and friends.

Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Pekin.  The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate.  There will be no visitation.   Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
