

Born June 29, 1925 in Peoria to Emerson R. and Marie E. (Voss) Clinebell, she married William R. Parr on June 12, 1943 at Joplin, Missouri. He died on September 11, 1979. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard D. Parr; one sister, Lois Clinebell and three brothers, Norval Clinebell, Virgil Clinebell and Eldon Clinebell.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Thompson of Pekin and Katherine (Richard) Manz of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Sheila, Lisa, Christy, Laura, Gary, Carrie and Jon; thirteen great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Carol (Alan) Gordon of Walsenburg, Colorado and Linda (Ron) Lipsey of Pekin
A 1943 graduate of Elmwood High School, June was a devoted homemaker who cherished her role within her family. Her deep love for her children and friends was evident to all who knew her.
June was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. She had participated in the Walk to Emmaus and Cursillo programs. She also dedicated her time to serving with prison ministry, reflecting her commitment to her faith and community.
Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. Pastor Eric N. Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
