

Born November 24, 1943 in Wheeler, Indiana to John and Evelyn (Allen) Wise, she was married to Russell Boger for many years. He died June 11, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dawn Greer and four siblings, Robert, Deleen, Margaret, and Charlene.
Surviving are three children, Scott (Mary) Boger, Karl (Mindy) Greer, and Patricia (Frank) Fink; three step-children, David, Lynn, and Donna; nine grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Robert, Andrea, Kristopher, Ashley, Jessica, Cameron, and Karl, Jr.; seven siblings, John, Carol, Ralph, Mary, Trudy, Ronnie and Richard and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Karen was a self-employed seamstress and upholsterer. She was proud to say she had been sewing since she was 6 years old and would often make different projects for family and friends.
She loved spending time with her family, caring for her dogs, Mac, Toby and Doodle, watching NCIS and drinking coffee on her porch. She was also known as the “Karate Grandma.”
Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
