Kary Oakley

She was born May 26, 1973 in Pekin to Christina Lea Curless.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Christina and Dennis Shoemaker of Pekin; one son, Blayze Van Allen Oakley of Pekin and one brother, Shaun (Corina) Maas of North Pekin.

She was a well-known real estate agent, who was passionate and successful in her profession. She was also a former flight attendant and model. She previously worked at Pekin Hospital as a E.R. receptionist.

Kary shaped her world around her son, Blayze. She was fond of her cats, home decorating and enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed attending music festivals with her brother and sister-in-law and spending time with her mom.

Her private graveside service will be Friday at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor David Auxier will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & crematory in Pekin.

A celebration of Kary’s life will be announced to friends, associates and family at a later date.
