He was born October 18, 1974 in Pekin to Kenneth William, Sr. and Margaret Marie (Spracklen) Ahten. His parents preceded him in death. along with one uncle, Ronald Ahten.
Surviving are one sister, Elaine Ahten of Pekin; several aunts and uncles including, Raymond Ahten of Pekin, who he helped care for and Kay (James) Sommer of Tremont; and several cousins including, Michael Ahten and Susan Richardson, both of Ohio.
Ken worked as an industrial painter at Renewal by Anderson in Peoria.
He attended New Life Fellowship and Pekin Bible Church, both in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Mark Utech will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
