

He was born Mar. 23, 1960 in Peoria to Kenneth W. and Margaret (Behrens) Doering, Sr.
Surviving are 2 brothers, David (Ruby) Peters of Creve Coeur and Charles (Sharon) Doering of Gamaliel, Ark.; 3 sisters, Janice (Jim) Heinz and Geralyn (Willard) McCombs, both of Dahinda, and Deborah (Terry) Wilson of Davenport, Ia.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
Bill worked for the Bemis Bag Company in Peoria for 27 years, retiring in 2006 as a pressman.
A member of the Farmington Sportsmen’s Club, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was also an animal lover and a wine maker.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Chuck Wilcox will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
