

Born May 20, 1942 in Springfield to Albert and Lucille (Moorhouse) Etter, he married Gladys Mildred Wieties on July 21, 1962 in Springfield. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth W. (Mary Beth) Etter, Jr. of Manito, Thomas R. Etter and Michael A. (Donna) Etter, both of Pekin; one daughter, Lynne R. (Dave) Collins of Dunfermline; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Lucas of Missouri. He also was looking forward to the birth of his fourth great-grandchild.
His parents preceded him death.
Ken worked for Central Illinois Light Company in Peoria and was an Ameren retiree with 27 years of service. He also had worked as a part time police officer for the City of Marquette Heights for several years.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and going to car shows/street rods. Ken also was a gun enthusiast. Ken’s biggest thrill was seeing his grandchildren and his dogs.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church in Groveland.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Liberty Hall in Marquette Heights. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
