Born November 12, 1937 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to James and Aileen (Colyar) Martin, he married Patsy J. Oldfield on July 4, 1964 in Tullahoma. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lorinda (John) Hanson of Manito; one son, Monty (Tina) Martin of Manito; four grandchildren, Mitch (Carly) Hanson of Dennison, Kyndi (Tyler) Spencer of Yukon, Oklahoma, Amelia Martin and Sabrina Martin, both of Manito; two great-grandchildren, Easton Spencer and River Hanson; one sister, Carol (Wayne) Pyle formerly of Nashville, Tennessee and two sisters-in-law, Bridgett Martin and Joyce (Laymon) Hasty, both of Tullahoma. He also leaves a cousin he was very close to, Patricia Outlaw of Tullahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Martin, Richard Martin; two sisters, Lucille Martin and Frances Haley.
He attended Middle Tennessee State College
Kenneth worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years, retiring from Inventory Control at the Mapleton Foundry.
He was a longtime member of Manito Lodge #476, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. He also had attended Community United Methodist Church in Manito. He like fishing and loved his family.
Private family services and Masonic Rites will be conducted Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steven Oaks will officiate.
