Kenneth was born on February 19, 1944 in Canton to John and Catherine (Thomas) Meyer. He married Janet Leonard on September 21, 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen (Shannon) Flaharty and Sharon Snowden, both of Havana; one son, Kevin (Sandy) Meyer of Havana; 11 grandchildren, Sondra, Brian, Adam, Brody, Makayla, Katelyn, Alexis, Dez, Kaley, Prestyn and Andrew; 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Gabby, Ireland, Bryson, Leeanna, Tegan, Gracelyn, Addison, Amia, Oliver and Bella and one sister, Phyllis (Kenny) Barnes of Havana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Meyer and three sisters, Marlene Thompson, Sharon Meyer and Lila Carlson.
He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1967.
Kenneth was self-employed as a farmer for many years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, feeding the squirrels, watching the stars and birds. He loved spending time with his children, motorcycle riding, having breakfast at Hardees with his friends, and collecting flashlights and knives.
A gathering celebrating Kenneth’s life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will follow.
