Born November 8, 1950 in Pekin to Kenneth LeRoy and Mildred Luella (Trainor) Psinas, he married Teresa Lynn Porter on October 16, 1993 in Trivoli. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Mildred Currie of Pekin; four sons, Matthew Psinas of Peoria, Mark Psinas, Martin Psinas and Marshall Psinas, all of Pekin; one daughter, Jodi (Greg) Morse of Farmington; nine grandchildren, Steven Gilstrap, Kaitlin Gilstrap, Megan Gilstrap, Addison Gilstrap, Madison Psinas, Mason Psinas, Maxwell Psinas, Adriane Morse and Brayden Morse; one brother, Kevin (Amy) Psinas of Pekin and two sisters, Rhonda Medina of Peoria and Vickie Psinas of Pekin.
His father preceded him in death.
Kerry was a self-employed insurance and investment broker from 1972 until 2001. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Chartered Financial Consultant. Kerry and his wife then served as fulltime missionaries for 20 years on the mission field in Grenada in the West Indies with Independent Gospel Missions.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tremont and had served with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Josh Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral. Guidelines regarding social distancing and wearing of masks will be followed. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
