Larry Lee Forbis

Born on May 7, 1963, in Pekin, a son of Larry and Catherine (Waremburg) Forbis. He married Dawn Smith on February 5, 1982, in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Shannon) Forbis of Pekin, and Joshua Forbis of Pekin; 9 grandchildren, Kailyn, Ayden, Dylan, Brock, Dayton, Mark, Athena, Keileigh, and Gracie; two brothers, Randy (Amber) Forbis of Mapleton, and Jody (Lisa) Forbis of Pekin; and his lifelong friend, Ronald Null.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked as a Truck Driver, Meat Cutter in Colorado and lastly for Caterpillar Inc for 12 years as a Forklift Operator.

Larry enjoyed taking vacations, riding motorcycles, hotrods, fishing, and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His visitation will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin Chapel.

Cremation Rites will follow the visitation. There will be no services.
