

Born December 2, 1938 in Pekin to Everett Warren and Flora Monica (Maquet) Moore, he married Mary Alice Tellkamp on September 7, 1957 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Rufus) Qualls and Leslie (Mike) Henry, both of Pekin; six grandchildren, Jason (Tonya) Hazlett, Melissa (Brandon) Howdyshell, Jennifer Henry, and Nick Henry, all of Pekin, Anthony Frietsch of Mapleton, and Tonya Qualls of Peoria; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Kim Maquet of Pekin; and one brother, Terry (Jodie) Moore of Vancouver, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lori Frietsch; and one granddaughter, Michelle Hazlett.
Larry worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 37 years, retiring in 1995 as a second shift security captain in East Peoria. He had worked as a part-time police sergeant for the North Pekin Police Department and had been a volunteer fireman for the North Pekin Fire Department.
Larry enjoyed bowling, fishing, going to auctions, mushrooming, and attending his grandchildren’s events. He was a Saint Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
