Born January 19, 1939 in Pekin to Henry and LaVerne (Cook) Schlottman, he married Linda Meyers on March 10, 1961 in Pekin and later divorced. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are four daughters, LeAnn Westhafer of Glasford, Tracy (Dan) Anderson of Manito, Kristie (John Clark) Bigliazzi of Pekin and Stephanie (Jeff) Caldwell of Claremont, Florida; eight grandchildren, Nicole Ganleany, Kyle Burbridge, Lindsey Judd, Hannah Anderson, Raisean Anderson, McKenzie Bigliazzi, Carson Bigliazzi and Cameron Caldwell; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Bonnie Harkleroad of Pekin.
Larry worked as a manager for One Hour Martinizing for more than 15 years and served as a Deputy with the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department for 20 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapshooting and played in several pool and bowling leagues. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Los Angeles Rams football fan. In his early years, he raced motorcycles.
A gathering celebrating Larry’s life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Peoria Sportsman Club, 6404 Bass Road in Manito. Those attending are encouraged to dress in Cardinals attire.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
