

Born January 23, 1950 in Peoria to Roy Alvin and Corrine Ella (Burlingame) Stoehr, he married Cindy Sheff in August 1968. He later married Penny Perino on January 23, 1993 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years; three sons, Troy (Deborah) Stoehr of Canton, Shannon (Lori Dyer) Stoehr of Green Valley and Shawn (Nichole) Stoehr of Hopedale; one step-daughter, Kelly (Randy) Painter of Pekin; one step-son, Scott (Kacey Garber) Grube of South Pekin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three siblings, Sally Hasty and Charles “Bud” (Angela) Darling, both of Pekin and Alvina (Jeff) Rademacker of Mt. Sterling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe Stoehr and David Stoehr and two sisters, Donna Henry and Kay Stoehr.
Larry had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Delavan and Morton in the warehouse for 30 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the UAW Local #974 in East Peoria.
A loving husband, dad and grandpa, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening.
His graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
