Born April 11, 1941 in Bloomington to Marvin and Geri (Acks) Summers, he married Dianna Hehman in 1963. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Scot Summers of Minier and one granddaughter, Hayley Summers of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Bradley Summers.
Larry had worked as an architect for HNTB in Arizona after earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University.
He enjoyed racecar and motorcycle racing in his younger years. An avid photographer and collector, Larry was very fun and active.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
