Pekin ~ Lee Robert Walters, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, went to his heavenly home with Jesus on December 28, 2025, surrounded by the legacy of love and faith he spent a lifetime building.
Born on October 19, 1939, Lee lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. He was the beloved husband of Gerry Walters and a proud father to their two children, Wendy and Lee. His greatest joy was his family, especially his five grandchildren—Naomi, Samuel, Lane, Daniel, and Andrew—who brought endless pride and happiness to his life.
Lee was known for his strong faith, steady optimism, and genuine desire to be of service to others. He faced life with a positive attitude, a servant’s heart, and a quiet strength that guided his family by example. His kindness was sincere, his encouragement constant, and there was always a recognizable twinkle in his eye that reflected his joy for life and love for people.
A true role model, Lee showed through his actions what it meant to live with integrity, compassion, and grace. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave so freely, and the faith he shared so openly.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his Savior.
Lee's funeral service will be private. Burial will take place in Meadows Cemetery in rural Annapolis, Missouri.
