Born July 13, 1953 in Peoria to Everett “Ray” and Juanita (Fulk) Bailey, he married Dori J. Tabor on September 16, 1990 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Creve Coeur; and one son, Camerron Ray Bailey of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Isbell.
Les worked for Kroger Company for 40 years, last working as a cashier.
He was a 40-year member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Creve Coeur.
Les enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and watching NASCAR where he was a Ricky Rudd fan.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Steve Weber and Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
