

Born December 25, 1923 in Mapleton to Earl and Etta (Kelly) McCullough, she married Robert Paul McDonald on April 22, 1944 in Pekin. He died May 30, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Patrick McDonald; and one daughter, Sally Hammer.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary McDonald of Pekin; two sons, Dan McDonald and Tim McDonald, both of Pekin; six grandchildren, Troy (Tammy) Hammer, Staci (Larry) Brent, Audrey (Tim Kirchner) Tanner, Robert Paul McDonald, II, Brett McDonald, and Kelly (Mike) Fernandes; nine great-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Lila worked in the office of American Distilling Company in Pekin for 26 years and later worked for Midwest Grain for 6 years.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Lila enjoyed camping, bowling, and cherished spending time with her family.
Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. There will be no visitation.
