Linda Frampton

Born April 27, 1939 in Glasford to William Donald and Charlotte Mae (Miller) Irving, she married Edgar Warren Frampton on August 20, 1955 in Pekin. He died June 24, 1997 in South Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Dennis Coats; one son, Warren E. Frampton; one sister, Shirley Gesi and one brother, Robert Irving.

Surviving are one daughter, Sharon (Chuck) Wikoff of South Pekin; two sons, Mike (Cheryl) Frampton of Pekin and Howard (Kathlena) Frampton of Morton; four grandchildren, Dustin Wikoff, Angela Wikoff, Cynthia Frampton and Alta Frampton; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William (Linda) Irving of Hanna City and Gary (Julie) Irving of Pekin; one sister, Debra Walker of Peoria; several nieces and nephews and a close friend, Donald Dansby of Peoria..

Linda was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 983 in East Peoria.

She was a nurse’s aide at Pekin Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 2001. After retirement Linda was an auto transporter for Mike Murphy Ford in Morton, last working December 31, 2015.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Linda loved dancing and driving.

Linda was of the Baptist faith.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
