Linda Kay Steenbergen

Born on September 3, 1946, in Muskogee, OK to Bennie Louis and Betty June (Vaught) Hoyle. She married Walton Edward “Ed” Steenbergen on June 25, 1966, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2011.

Linda was also preceded by her parents, one granddaughter; Danielle Steenbergen and one sister; Carolyn “Cookie” Marshall.

She is survived by her two sons; Michael (Wendy) Steenbergen of Pekin, Daron (Kelly) Steenbergen of Trenton, four grandchildren; Kortni (Sam) Neavear, Joshua, Cody, Jarad, one step grandson; Dustin Anderson, seven great-grandchildren; Callan, Noa Jean, Phoenix, Callie, Danielle, Waylon and Barrett.

Linda graduated from Pekin Community High School Class of 1966. She later worked for American Distilling Company in Pekin for 15 years in the Bottling Department, Butch’s Pizza for 10 years as a Pizza Maker and Spudnut Donuts for 5 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed crafting, sewing, quilting and riding motorcycles with her husband.

Cremation Rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin Chapel.
