Lita Jo Sieg, 67, of Mapleton, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Pekin Manor in Pekin, Illinois. She was born on November 26, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois to Clarence and Sheila (Cotton) Barnette. She married Bruce Sieg on July 7, 1973 in East Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2010 in Mapleton, Illinois. She is also preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are three children, Craig (Tracy) Sieg of Bloomington, Illinois, Chris (Brooke) Sieg of Cody, Wyoming and Ashley Turner of Mapleton, Illinois; five grandchildren, Sydney, Reid, Isabella, Bryden and Ayla. Her mother is also surviving, Sheila Barnette of Tremont, Illinois and one sister, Lori (Todd) Porter of Mesa, Arizona.
Lita worked for over 30 years for the United States Postal Service from which she retired.
A Memorial Gathering will be Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, Illinois from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Kingston Mines Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Illini Bluffs Schools. The Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
