Londa Sue Donahue

She was born on December 29, 1961 in Pekin, a daughter of Kenneth “Kenny” and Joanne (Meeks) Parsons. Lonnie married Brian Donahue on March 6, 2004 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Parsons of Pekin.

Lonnie is survived by her son, Sean (Crystal) Somers of Nixa, Missouri; father, Kenny Parsons of Pekin, four grandchildren, Caelan, Liam, Cheyanne and Savannah; one sister, Ronda (Mark) Bensel of Morton and one nephew, T.J. (Adrina) Robinson of North Pekin.

She graduated from Pekin Community High School Class of 1980. Lonnie later worked as a Police Officer for the Margate City Police Department in Margate, Florida for 28 years. After retiring from the police department, she started her lifelong dream of working for the Walt Disney Company at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Lonnie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #75. She loved everything Disney, art, quilting, and gardening.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There are no services scheduled at this time.
