To Loren’s Family,
I am sad to read of Loren’s passing. I had the pleasure of a conversation with Loren at the Caterpillar East Peoria fire station. I was an Electrical Engineer in Facility Engineering at the Caterpillar Engine Center. We needed a new fire truck. Think ours was 20+ years old. Wish I could remember the year. Four of our group went to East Peoria to learn the pluses and minuses that East Peoria had discovered. Loren explained their situation. He saved Mossville many dollars.
I hope your many happy memories will help you get through this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Pat McNamara and I met Loren in 1973 at Caterpillar in 1973. We've had great times together and fond memories and he'll be missed - really! 

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father.  I worked with Loren in Security at Cat. He was a great friend and I will miss him.  I loved his sense of humor and his singing and dancing around the office. He was so much fun to work with.  In the last year I reconnected with Loren when he participated in open Mike nights. I loved communicating on FB and email.  He was a wonderful guy and he will be greatly missed.

It was truly a pleasure to have known Loren. Besides being Manual High School alums, we both were St. Louis Cardinal fans. Our trips to Chicago for the State School Board conventions will never be forgotten. Not only did we harmonize and karaoke, but once we sang in a foreign language. Loren even bestowed upon me the exclusive "Grand Pooba of the Golden Order of the Cocktail Weenie" Award as a token of our shared knowledge of the movie industry!

My sincere condolences to Loren's family. My father worked with Loren at Caterpillar  and I worked for Guardsmark Security at Bldg AB for a couple years and saw Loren on multiple occasions. One occasion in particular still makes me chuckle. I was in the BOC at Bldg AB where we monitored the cameras and Loren came in with our supervisor. Loren had bent down to pick something up and had split his pants. One of Loren's daughters was on the way bringing her dad a new pair of pants, but he needed a place to stay out of public view so he hid out in the bathroom of the BOC/security office. We all got a good laugh from that. Loren always made sure to ask me how I was doing in the job when he saw me. I always thought that was nice.

Joyce, I used to work with you at Stuarts which seems like a million years ago.  I remember when you and Loren got married..So sorry for your loss.

Loren was one of a kind. He was unique in many ways. Once you were a friend of Loren’s, you were a friend for life.  Regardless of the amount of time between visits, it was in short time that it was just like yesterday. At first I was distraught hearing of Loren’s passing, but after some thought, Loren worked his magic. I was privileged and honored to have been in his life.  Thanks LJ.  Tony

I met Loren shortly after he became the Fire Protection Engineer at Cat. At the time I was a security guard, and had very little knowledge of fire systems. Anytime I ask Loren a question he  always took time to help. He always took the time to help anyone. I never heard anyone say anything bad about Loren.
After I left Cat.we stayed in contact via e-mail.
He shared some of the songs lyrics he had written and then some of these songs set to music. He was very talented.
Then he started doing gigs with Judy and Bill and I had the pleasure to attend several of these events. These were always good music and a lot of fun. 
It has been an honor to be Loren's friend. His passing has been a great loss to many.
I wish the most sincere condolences to his family.

Rest In Peace my dear neighbor.  You will be greatly missed.  My you shine in heaven as much as you did a on earth.

I met Loren many years ago while working with Corporate Security at Caterpillar.  Loren and I worked together in Corporate Security over ten years and we went through a lot of things together that allowed me the privilege to get to know Loren.  I can remember talking to him about trivia.  Loren always remembered the most detailed information and was so easy to work with and talk to.  After he retired I did not get to see him very much but I was glad I was able to talk to him at his granddaughters basketball game on November 15.  I am proud to say he was my friend and I will miss him very much.  He had a nick name he always called me was Shadow.  Loren was one of a kind. God Bless buddy... your friend Shadow. 

Loren was A good friend and always fun to be around. He will be greatly missed.

Loren and I first met when I was an fire/security officer in E. Peoria. Later in 2001-2002 I worked as an assistant to Loren conducting insurance inspections. He was a good friend and mentor. I have learned a lot from him over the years. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. We both had a passion for old films such as James Bond and Matt Helm. I will cherish the moments I was able to work with him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Loren was such an amazing person. I love that he always came to my Nets for Vets days at school and he was never afraid to get right in there and play with the students. They loved it too! I am so happy I had the privilege of knowing him. You are such an awesome family and Loren will be greatly missed. My heart breaks for you. I’m here for you all if you need anything so don’t hesitate to ask. Love you all!

Loren was a great friend. I remember all those moments we spent together. We first met at Cat. in Building X2 for a halon test in the computer room. After that day, Caterpillar D.E. Mylott hired Loren as a fire protection engineer. Since that day, we became good friends. Now I have a pain so deep down inside.  It is difficult to summarized in words the loss of a good friend.
