Lorena Lee Golden

Born July 27, 1954 in Des Moines, IA to Harold Alan and Lenora Mae (Eertmoed) Johnson, she married Jimmy Dale Golden on February 23, 1997 in Pekin.  He survives.  

Also surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Walker of Delavan; one step-daughter, Melissa (Jason) Henricks of Bartonville; three step-sons, Christopher (Rhonda) Golden of Vidor, TX, Charles (Samantha) Golden of Peoria, and James (Heidi) Golden of Farmington; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Andrea Gilroy and Cheryl Gardner, both of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Casey Fleeharty; and one brother, Steve Johnson.

After graduating from the secretarial program at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, she had worked at Illinois Central College and later at Avon Products World Headquarters after moving to Atlanta, GA.  She last worked for Encompass Parts Solution in Lawrenceville, GA for 8 years as a customer service specialist, last working in April 2014.

Lori's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.  She also loved to cook.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Normandale Reformed Church, 2001 South 2nd Street in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the service.  Pastor David Craig will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Hope Chest at 1106 Derby St. Pekin, IL 61554.
