PEORIA ~ Loretta Jo Mowell, 52, of Peoria, passed away December 4, 2018 at Sharon Health Care Elms in Peoria.
She was born January 14, 1966 to Marlene Grey and John Newton Mowell. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her parents.
Surviving are one brother, John H. (Mieka A. Bryson) Mowell of Butler, Missouri; one half-sister, Kimberly Ann Reed of Belton, Missouri; one half-brother, Joseph Palaca, Jr. of California; and her step-father, Roger Reed of Belton, Missouri.
Loretta was of the Christian faith and attended Ignite Church in Peoria.
She loved God and listening to country music. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she also loved listening to Christmas music. More than anything, Loretta loved making people happy. Nothing brought her more joy than making others laugh and smile.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
