Lucille A Prince

Born June 29, 1920 in Peoria to Arthur and Marie (Achterberg) Roth, she married David Albert Prince on October 25, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia. He died in 1992 in East Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Roth and two sisters, LaVerne Foster and Bernadine Oberheiser.

Surviving are one son, Larry (Amy Zbinden) Prince of East Peoria; one daughter, Deborah (Stephen) Springhart-West of Washington; six grandchildren, John and Noel Springhart, Kris and Nick Prince, Micki Prince and Tiffany Shinall and ten great-grandchildren, Alex, Samantha, Madison, Taylor, Hunter, Nolan, Jackson, Zowie, Tinley and Avery.

Lucille had been a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria.

She had worked for Hiram Walkers and as a babysitter. She had also worked for a sewing factory and K-Rationing.

Lucille loved caring for her flower gardens, camping, fishing and baking.

She was a member of Caterpillar Retirees Club and the PTA at Robein Grade School.

Her graveside funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. The Rev. Kurt Mews will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
