Lucinda Lee Ewing

Cindy was born November 27, 1954 in Peoria to Howard and Shirley Adkins. She married Norman “Fred” Ewing in 1977 in Peoria, he preceded her in death on March 1, 2012. Also preceding her in death are her parents and stepfather; James Tucker.

She is survived by one sister; Susan (Kenny) Wood of Branson, one brother; Bradley (Yvonne) Tucker of Chillicothe, one sister-in-law; Kathy (Dick) Bouris of Washington, one brother-in-law; Scott (Adriane) Ewing of Pekin, and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for twenty years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, making jewelry, and loved being with animals, especially cats and dogs.

The family would like to thank the Villas of Holly Brook Memory Care, Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin, and Vitas Hospice for the wonderful care they all gave Cindy.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Cindy’s honor to either TAPS Animal Shelter, 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, IL 61554 or Freedom Paws Service Dog Foundation, 5407 East Cambron Avenue, Chillicothe, IL 61523 to honor her love of animals.
