To the Wertz Family, I was so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. I met Lynn on the State Farm vanpool from Pekin to Bloomington. He was so full of life and had many stories to share (some personal and humorous). During the football season, among our vanpool friend's, there were many discussions about the Packer's of those that were fans and of other teams as well. Lynn
was also interested in hearing about our families. He will me missed by all who knew him. Our prayer's are with you and your family.

What a horrible shock to hear of Lynn's death. Having moved from Pekin years ago, my memories are from our years together in grade school at St. Joe's. I will always remember him as the lovable rascal he was. Always a smile on his face, always full of fun. Everyone's friend. One of those rare people who never met a stranger, never had an enemy, made everyone's life better. My deepest sympathies to Mark and the Wertz family.

Dear Mark and Family:

My sympathies on the loss of your brother. I know that there were many ways that you helped your brother, over the course of many years, especially with his medical care. His life was much better because of the care that you gave him, and the warm memories that his friends have shared are a testament to not only him, but also to your entire family. I am sorry for your loss.

I went to school with Lynn from kindergarten at St Joe’s through graduation from high school at Pekin high. He was always one of the nicest kids and treated everyone the same, whether you were an athlete or an old classmate. I hadn’t spoken to Lynn for many years, but it definitely made me sad when I read about his passing. GO PACK!!!!

Lynn was an accomplished person with great intelligence. Just another great guy who saw the good in everybody he knew. We've lost a great human being from this earth. Lynn Wertz you were special to many friends and family. The world is emptier without you. Thinking of his brother Mark and his family. Lynn could not have had a better brother, who loved him dearly.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Lynn was a very special classmate and friend. He always made me feel like a friend. He had some time with my mom in the past weeks and their talks really uplifted her and gave him a chance to talk about life too! Your free from the medical struggles now and at peace. See you again someday. God bless🙏🏼
