Lynnette D Dorsett

She was born December 25, 1965 in Pekin to Gerald and Lynda (Keyes) Counterman.

Surviving are her father of South Pekin; one son, William Dorsett of Newport News, VA; one daughter, Ashley (Aaron) Plackett of Pekin; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Larrie (Theresa) Counterman of Pekin, Lonnie (Jane) Counterman of East Peoria; one sister, Michelle Rogers of South Pekin; several nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law, JoAnn Fort of Morton.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Lynnette had worked for Kyle’s Care at Home, last working in 2015.

She loved caring for her father and her dog, Cookie. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching Queen Latifah movies and reading Stephen King novels

Her memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Bethesda Pentecostal Church of God, 1011 Veerman Street in Pekin. Pastor David Wilder will officiate. Family will greet friends following the service at the church. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting with arrangements.
