Born January 11, 1930 in East St. Louis to John and Ruth (Juenger) Kerrigan, she married William Kalb. They later divorced. She then married Jerome Adler in 1989 in Arberdeen, South Dakota. He died in 1996.
Surviving are three daughters, Patty (Gary) Baughman of Florida, Mary (Randy) Englebrecht of Pekin and Tina (Chuck) Sill of Bellevue; five sons, John McClain of Florida, Dennis McClain of Pekin, Billy (Sue) Kalb of Indiana, Terry (Theresa) Kalb of Springfield and Rick (Tana) Kalb of Louisiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Sharon (Pat) Shea of Caseyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ann; one brother, John Kerrigan and her daughter-in-law, Debra McCain.
Margaret had worked as a in home CNA for 40 years. She also owned and operated Snatch and Catch Bait Shop in Peoria for ten years.
She enjoyed crocheting, writing stories, working puzzle books and going to yard sales. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
