Margaret A Hickman

Born January 12, 1935 in Pekin to Daniel and Sarah (Johns) Vogel, she married Robert J. Worlow in February, 1953 in Pekin. She later married Luther "Bud" Hickman on June 18, 1972 in Pekin. He died in September, 1989.

She was also preceded n death by 2 sisters.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Gaila (John) Wagner of Pekin; 3 sons, Duane (Bev) Worlow of San Jose; Terry (Kerry) Hickman of Pekin and Rev. David Hickman of North Pekin; 6 grandchildren, Tonya Hundt, Amy Hansen, Logan, Ryleigh, Annie, and Tina Hickman; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lorene (Howard) Smith of Kingston Mines, Mildred (Harry) Fornoff of Havana, and Florence Clark of Mason City; and 3 brothers, Richard (Donna) Vogel of Hanna City, Ray (Marjorie) Vogel of Mapleton, and Don (Sharron) Vogel of Glasford.

Primarily a homemaker, Margaret had been the first manager at the original Pekin McDonalds for 5 years during the mid 1960s.

She enjoyed sewing, playing Texas Hold'em, camping, and traveling. She was a dog and bird lover.

Margaret also raced stock cars in the Powder Puff Derby races at the Peoria Speedway during the early 1960s.

Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Rev. David Hickman will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
