

Born December 21, 1939 in Spring Bay to Herman Joseph and Ardella Darlene (Healy) DuBois, she married Loyd T. Simpson on March 14, 1975 in Peoria. He died March 29, 2004 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Donnie DuBois and Herman "Sonny" DuBois.
Surviving are three sons, Gary (Missy) Simpson of Pekin, Greg (Patti) Kaeb of Groveland and Kevin (Brenda) Kaeb of Green Valley; six daughters, Nancy Russell of Allen, Texas, Patricia Simpson of Pekin, Christina (Michael) Trone of Springfield, LaDonna (R.J.) Jamieson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Angela (Paul) Monrad of Peoria and Alica "Lee" Easton of Pekin; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dwayne DuBois of Tremont; and one sister, Myra Carr of Roswell, New Mexico.
Margaret was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and a former member of the Holy Family Church in Peoria.
She had worked at American Distilling Company and for Midwest Grain in Pekin, retiring in 2006 after over 30 years of service.
Margaret's life was a reflection of her faith. She always looked for the good in everyone and everything. She loved sewing and shopping, but she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for the compassionate care of their mother.
Her funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Scott Potthoff will officiate. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation rites will be accorded following services, and private burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery in Peoria.
