

PEKIN ~ Marie Antoinette Link, 91, of 225 E. 4th Ave., Stanley, Wisconsin, passed away at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Home Place Haven in Stanley. She was formerly of 341 Henrietta St., in Pekin. Born September 14, 1917 in Bloomer, Wisconsin to Paul and Rachel (Fruchart) Riviere, she married Walter Link on July 5, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. Surviving are her husband; 3 daughters, Dana (John) Wyss of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Beth (Michael) Newburn of North Pekin, and Debra Link of Schererville, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, John (Erin) Wyss of Mt. Pulaski, Brian (Christina) Wyss of Lacon, Tracy (Todd) Baker of Chillicothe, Beth Ann (Jason) Bennett of North Pekin, and Marcia (Keith) Davison and Jacquline Ehrat, both of Marquette Heights; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers. A homemaker, she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. Marie loved knitting, crocheting, word search puzzles, reading, and fishing. A music lover, she sang in the acapella choir in high school. She played the accordion, violin, and piano. Marie loved her family and was care giver for her father in his later years. We will truly miss you, Mom. A private funeral will be held at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
