Marilyn Corene Agee

Marilyn Corene Agee, 91, of Pekin, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Department in Peoria. She was born on December 13, 1933, in Springfield, a daughter of Ross R. Thrasher and Nora B. (Silvy) Thrasher.

Marilyn is survived by her two children, Carl Michael (Dorte) Rodemer of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Nora "Kathy" (Steve) Hoffman of Pekin; three grandchildren, Adam (Lori) Hoffman of Pekin, Alicia (Allen) Hawkins of Pekin and Maya Mei Rodemer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; six great-grandchildren, Landyn, Tanner, Hunter, Christina, Vanessa, and Noralee; one great-great-grandson, William Greenleaf of Pekin; two nephews, Kenny Thrasher of Springfield and Eric Miller of Tremont; and one niece, Beth Morris of Creve Coeur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald, Paul, and Kenneth Thrasher; and one sister, Delores Miller.

Marilyn last worked for C.R. Cooks Furs and Fashions in Peoria for eight years, retiring in 1981. She loved animals and decorating, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marilyn's funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home in Pekin. Her visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm also on Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Fondulac Township Cemetery at a later date.
