Marilyn J Dams

Born June 10, 1928 in Peoria to John and Florence (Gebhart) Kurschner, she married Lyle R. Dams on June 26, 1954 in Peoria. He died March 6, 1982 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Bret Alan Whittington.

Surviving are one son, Rickey Paulson of Morton; three daughters, Mary Stankevich and Karen Peters, both of Pekin, and Sherrie Burcham of Normal; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one brother, Bernard (Marian) Kurschner of East Peoria.

A homemaker, Marilyn was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose, both in Peoria.

Marilyn enjoyed jig saw puzzles, gardening, sewing and was a cat lover

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. The Rev. Michael Borcherding will officiate.
