

She was born June 4, 1927 in Browning, IL to Alvin Vincent “Steven” and Nola (Lane) Fulton. She married Harry Bruce Esteppe on April 20, 1946 in Johnson City, TN. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her son, David Bruce Esteppe and her brother, Robert Fulton. Surviving are her children, Michael Bruce (wife, Debbie) Esteppe of Pekin and Nola Jean Eteppe (husband, Danny) Wolf of Marquette Heights, IL; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Hiles, Joshua Esteppe, and Amanda Tisdale; four great grandchildren, Landon, Addison, Noah and Arya; and her siblings, Beverly (Carl) McWhorter and Steven (Marge) Fulton, both of Pekin.
She was a 1945 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
Marilyn was the Librarian at the Pekin Public Library from 1970-1984 and had previously worked at McClellan’s Five and Dime Store in downtown Pekin.
She was a member of the East Peoria Church of Christ and the Pekin YWCA “Y Reserves”.
Marilyn loved her family and was an avid Cub fan. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Illinois River watching barges pass and feeding the birds.
The family thanks all of Marilyn’s special caregivers; you all meant so much to her. Also, thanks to the folks from Harbor Light Hospice for helping with her peaceful passage.
Marilyn’s funeral will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Rev. George McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be one and one half hours prior to the service, beginning at noon on Tuesday.
