Marilyn A Hartsock

Born April 20, 1942 in Pekin to Lyle and Christine (Tarter) Conway, she married Virgel Frederick “Sonny” Hartsock, Jr. on August 21, 1960 in Pekin. He died December 17, 2005 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Everett, Jerry and David Conway and Mary Helen Popejoy.

Surviving are three sons, Chet (Beth) Hartsock of Naperville, Bryan (Julie) Hartsock of Geneva and James (Jennifer) Hartsock of Cypress, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Nancy (Pete) Heitzman of Pekin and two brothers, Bud (Loretta) Conway of Whitwell, Tennessee and Steve (Judy) Conway of Meridian, Idaho.

Marilyn worked as an office manager for Flannigan Dental in Morton for many years, retiring in 2007.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, gardening and walking on the beach. She took great joy spending quality time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
