Mark A Gettings

He was born September 16, 1964 in Peoria to Clarence O. and Margaret Ann (Walker) Gettings.

Surviving are his parents of Creve Coeur; one daughter, Brandy N. Gettings of Green Valley; one brother, C. Michael "Harry" Gettings of Creve Coeur; one sister, Carol A. (Vince) Gutierrez of Creve Coeur; three nephews, Michael T. Gettings, Nathan V. Gutierrez, and Ryne O. Gutierrez, all of Creve Coeur; and one grand-nephew, Branden Gettings of East Peoria.

His grandparents preceded him in death.

Mark worked at Windsor at Seven Oaks Apartment Complex in Peoria for 17 years as a maintenance supervisor. He then worked in maintenance at the Buehler Home in Peoria and later at the Peoria County Courthouse.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Mark was loved by all who knew him andwill be greatly missed.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Fred Doughty will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to aneducation fund established for his daughter, Brandy Gettings, in care of CEFCU.
