

Born September 25, 1927 in Roberts to Marvin and Nellie (Quick) Shambrook, she married Marion A. Stamm on June 11, 1949 in Livingston County. He died November 2, 2009 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Francis Shambrook and James Shambrook and one sister, Eunice Stamm.
Surviving are two daughters, Doris (Gary) Lane of Tremont and Janet (Ray) Kolves of Mackinaw; five grandchildren, Jeff (Debbie) Lane of Grandridge, Ryan (Laura Watts) Lane of Morton, Dawn (Gordon) Anderson of Yuma, Arizona, Heather (Raymond) Gottner of Joliet and Jonathan Kolves of Peoria; ten great-grandchildren, Kristen Lane, Kora Lane, Chase Lane, Emily Lane, Addison Lane, Devin Anderson, Jarod (Kaitlyn) Anderson, Xander Gottner, Rylan Gottner and Wyatt Gottner and one great-great-grandson, Daniel Anderson.
A homemaker, Marla previously worked in the nursery at Fairbury Hospital prior to her marriage.
She was a 50-year member of First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin and attended First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Marla enjoyed gardening and canning. She was formerly of crossing guard at Willow School in Pekin for several years.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Pastor James C. McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
