Born November 27, 1953 in Pekin to Franklin D. and Norma Jean (Merritt) Mock, she married Norman Eugene "Gene" Piro on July 10, 1976 in Pekin. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Fred Mock; and one sister, Rosie Mock.
Surviving are one son, Nathan (Stephanie) Piro of Forest City; one daughter, Jaylynn Begeman of Forest City; three grandchildren, Colt, Dakota and Morgan Piro; three brothers, Frank Mock of Delavan, Danny (Carla) Mock of Missouri, and Jason Mock of Pekin; and two sisters, Brenda (Rich) Wheeler and Rita Mock of Pekin.
She was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship.
Marsha was a loving mother and grandmother that always thought of others before herself. She would help any child in need and spent many hours caring for those around her. She had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of house plants and flowers.
She had worked as a property manager for many years as well as Help at Home taking care of the elderly.
Her memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Eugene Hooker will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
