

Born March 21, 1947 in Peoria to Marvin H. and Rosemary (Klassert) Diveley. He was raised by his mother and step-father, John W. Sisler. He married the love of his life, Debra Kay York on June 22, 1974 in Pekin. She died December 26, 2019 in Pekin.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; his step-father and five siblings, Mona Piro, Betty LaMaster, Donald Sisler, Louis Sisler and Steven Sisler.
Surviving are three children, Joe (Alisa) Diveley of Pekin, Kristen (Brandon) Meinders of Groveland and David Diveley of Pekin; two grandchildren, Carter Hoyle and Bentley Diveley; seven siblings, Dorsey Sisler, Charles (Linda) Sisler, Michael (Judy) Sisler, Patricia (William) Beaty, Marcia (Glen) Rhoades, Tina Jolly and Ronald (Tina) Sisler and five beloved dogs, Daisy, Lily, Chloe, Leo and Lucy.
Marvin was a veteran of the United States Army and served as mail carrier.
He worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 55 years, retiring in July of 2020.
Marvin was extremely active and enjoyed cycling and was an avid runner, participating in several marathons. He loved the outdoors, landscaping and working on his many projects.
His memorial service will 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Larry Sauter will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army and Tazewell Military Rites Team following the service.
