

Born June 11, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas to Marion and Velma (Derr) Neaveill, he married Jacqueline Louise Lorentz on August 31, 1951 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Tim (Vicky) Neaveill of Pekin; two daughters, Kim (Randy) Schafer of California and Susan (Ross) Pesch of Peoria; three grandsons, Zachary Schafer of California, Broc (Lauren) Nelson of Peoria, and Vince (Tracy) Nichols of Pekin; two granddaughters, Joanna (Dustin) Scott of Pekin and Sarah Eisel of California; two great-granddaughters, Scarlett Schafer and Penelope Bolin, both of California; four great-grandsons, Tobias Bolin of California, and William Thompson, Titus Nichols, and Ryder Nichols, all of Pekin; two sisters, Fran Johnson of Tennessee and Andrea Shore of Peoria; and three brothers, Greg Neaveill of Peoria, Boyd Neaveill of Missouri, and Jerry Neaveill of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Nicholas Schafer.
Marvin proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He had a passion for family and was a master woodworker and carver. Marvin’s accomplishments are endless.

His visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services and cremation will be accorded.
