Mary E Deskin Renner

PEKIN ~ Mary E. Deskin Renner, 92, of 1402 South7th Street, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006 at her home. Born July 19, 1914 in Roanoke to Andrew J. and Christina Loercher Rutledge, she married Norlan E. Deskin on March 27, 1933 in Pekin. He died September 4, 1962. She later married Melvin Renner on April 2, 1964 in Groveland. He died October 6, 2000 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, six brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Ethel M. Kline of Pekin; one son, Melvin "Mel" (Rosie) Deskin of Lockport; three grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, she had also worked as a housekeeper for Robert Monge and Monge Real Estate in Pekin for many years.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Pekin.

Mary enjoyed cooking and fishing.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2006at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. Paul Myers will officiate. There will be no visitation.
