
Born June 7, 1930 in Carlinville to Frank and Mary (Grubiek) Trapper, she married Lloyd Lisco Dixon on September 4, 1954 in Peoria. He died on October 18, 1984 in Danville. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Lee Dixon on May 12, 2019; one great-grandson, Evan and twelve brothers and sisters.
Surviving are one son, Joseph (Theresa) Dixon of Dunlap; one daughter, Cindy (Keith) Galyean of Manito; five grandchildren, Samantha Galyean of Groveland, Luke Dixon of Florida, Sarah Dixon of Galesburg, Jessica (Danny) Dixon of Marquette Heights and Sebrina Burris of Mesa, Arizona and three great-grandchildren, Renee, Olivia and Elijah.
Jean retired from OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she worked many years in their housekeeping department.
Jean was a very independent woman. She enjoyed watching television and working puzzle books.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Private burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria. No services or visitation are planned.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
