Born July 26, 1925 in Bartonville to Harry Thomas and Nellie Grace (Keshner) Feary, she married Robert H. Butterfield in Peoria on February 29, 1952. He died February 12, 1985 in Mackinaw. Her parents, one son, Michael J. Butterfield and one brother, Harry Thomas Feary Jr. also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Randall L. Butterfield of East Peoria and Donald R. (Mary) Butterfield of Tremont; one daughter-in-law, Patti Butterfield of Edelstein; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Mae (Jim) Chamberlin of Freeport and Beverly June Wilson of Texas.
A homemaker, Mary Jane enjoyed quilting, sewing, making doll clothes and other crafts. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and her pets.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
