

Born September 20, 1933 in Peoria to Jacob and Mary (Rockhold) Sturm, she married Clifford Sisk on August 31, 1951 in Pekin. He died July 18, 1988 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Darren Sisk; one sister, Bernadine Ing; one brother, John Sturm; and one sister-in-law, Delores Sturm.
Surviving are two daughters, Candy Farden of Pekin and Cynthia (Mark) Besozzi of Texas; one son, Randy (Diane) Sisk of Pekin; nine grandchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jake (Pat) Sturm of Pekin.
Mary Lou was of the Catholic faith.
She enjoyed taking care of people, and had worked as a certified nurse's aid at many area nursing homes over 30 years.
Mary Lou's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She cherished family get togethers and loved cooking for her family. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bulls. She enjoyed crafts and going to the Spoon River Drive and Art in the Park at the Pekin Marigold Festival. She also enjoyed being outside and working in her garden.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
