Mary Lou Tomlinson

Born November 26, 1933 in Monette, Arkansas to Bert and Marie (Davidson) Barlow, she married Lester Haskell Tomlinson on February 22, 1958 in Hernando, Mississippi. He died July 21, 1995 in Murray, Kentucky. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wilma Gilbert and Norma Gragg.

Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Tomlinson and Pamela Tomlinson, both of Pekin; one son, Robert (Michelle) Tomlinson of Pekin; one honorary daughter, Karen Knight of Pekin; two grandchildren Stephanie Tomlinson and Amber Tomlinson; three honorary grandchildren, Meagan, Justice and Ashly; two great-grandchildren, Sunshine and Paisley; two honorary great-grandchildren, Myla and Dallas; and two sisters, Pat Cater and Joyce Owens, both of Leachville, Arkansas.

Mary was an active member of Emmanuel Community Church in Pekin.

A homemaker, she enjoyed watching Western movies and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
