Mary M Rembold

Born February 26, 1934 in Nemacolin, Pennsylvania to Charles and Monita (Jacobs) Gibson, she married John Robert Rembold on April 19, 1952, in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania. He died September 14, 2008, in East Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles “Sonny” Gibson, Jr.; and one sister, Alice Lilley.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret (Ron) Owen of East Peoria and Marsie (Jason) Gale of East Peoria, and one son, John (Kris) Rembold, Jr. of East Peoria.Marge’s grandkids were herpride and joy.She was blessed with Raechel, Reid, Shannon, Ryan, Justin, Jordyn, Kaitlyn and one great-grandson, Niklaus.

Marge was a real estate broker and appraiser, owning and operating Mid-America Realty in East Peoria for 30 years. Prior to that, General Electric had moved the family frequently around the East Coast.She enjoyed the journey, making friends in eachcommunity and adopting some ofthe customs of the diverse people along the way, but Pennsylvania was always her home.

Marge truly felt that we should leave people better than we found them.

In her final years, the Gale Family, Lisa Cothron, Shelli Sheridan, Cindy Lathrop and the staff of OSF Senior World and OSF Hospice all showed her the love of a family.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Union Cemetery in rural Washington.At that time, John and Marge Rembold will be buried together on their 65th wedding anniversary and we will celebrate their happily ever after.Pastor Kent Smith will officiate. There will be no visitation.Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
