Mary A. Armstrong Wells

She was born Nov. 4, 1946 in Terre Alta, W.V. to Darrell Tilton and Dorothy Phyllis (Cole) Armstrong. She married Kenneth A. Wells in Manito Beach, MI in 1963. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2008. She was also preceded by her father; brother, Ray Armstrong; and sister, Bonnie Bateman.

Surviving are her mother of Maryland; daughter, Audria (Shawn) Taylor of Olney; son, Billy (Sarah) Wells of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Noah Wells, Elizabeth Wells; four siblings, Mildred Stewart, Darrell (Susie) Armstrong, Helen (James) Ausderau, John Armstrong; two uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary worked as a beautician at several Pekin area Nursing Homes before retiring. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Lewistown.

Funeral Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Woolsey Funeral Home Glasford Chapel in Glasford with the Rev. Kathy Lanan Barrett officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services Friday at the Chapel in Glasford. Cremation will be accorded following services. Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for her grandchildren at Glasford Bank.
